Baignée dans une famille de musiciens, Delphine Joussein commence la flûte traversière à 9 ans. Elle obtient en 2002 un DFE de flûte traversière à l’unanimité avec les félicitations du jury. Fortement influencée par la famille étendue du Jazz et du Rock, elle développe un jeu de flûte où la voix et l’électronique sont omniprésents. En 2021 elle est lauréate du dispositif JAZZMIGRATION#7 avec son trio NOUT. En 2022, elle est finaliste avec NOUT au Concours National de Jazz à la Défense et remporte le Prix d’instrumentiste. n 2023, elle est lauréate du ZENITH AWARD avec NOUT, dispositif créé en 2021 par 12 points et Europe Jazz Network. Depuis sa création en 2021, NOUT a fait plus de 90 concerts en France et à l’international, et sorti 2 albums.
Outre le trio NOUT (avec Blanche Lafuente et Rafaëlle Rinaudo), elle joue et compose également dans le duo BOOLVAR (avec Sheik Anorak), son solo CALAMITY, le sextet MOBY DUCK (Xavier Camarasa, Mélanie Fossier, Frédérick Galiay, Rafaëlle Rinaudo, Ianick Tallet). Depuis mai 2023, elle tourne en Europe avec le Fire!Orchestra de Mats Gustafsson. En 2025 elle rejoint SAUVAGES PARADIS avec Edward Perrault, Eve Risser et Arthur Delaleu, ainsi que le sextet d’HÉLÈNE DURET avec Quentin Biardeau, Léa Ciechelski, Jessica Simon, Ariel Tessier.
Delphine collabore ponctuellement avec des musiciens européens tels que Lukas Kranzelbinder, Julian Sartorius, Johannes Schleiermacher (dans KABARILA), Kalle Kalima et le Red Desert Orchestra d’Eve Risser, et participe à des créations ponctuelles lors des festivals Jazz Südtirol de Bolzano en Italie et Saalfelden Jazz Festival en Autriche. Delphine joue dans le groupe ASYNCHRONE « hommage à Sakamoto » (Clément Petit, Frederic Soulard, Vincent Taeger, Emmanuel Peskine) dont le premier disque est sorti sur NoFormat en 2022, diffusé par DuNose Production.
Elle joue et crée la musique avec le Clown Joël Bluteau dans sa création autour de la pataphysique. Delphine pratique également les musiques brésiliennes et particulièrement le Choro au sein de diverses formes. Sa pratique du piano jazz l’amènent à rencontrer Tim Richards à Londres, auprès duquel elle suit une année de master class. Delphine a enseigné la flûte traversière et animé un atelier d’orchestre adultes amateurs entre 2018 et 2023 au Centre de musique du 10e arrondissement de Paris. Au début des années 2000, Passionnée par la sommellerie, elle se forme à ce métier à Londres, ainsi qu’à la gestion hôtelière puis lance l’ouverture du restaurant du chef étoilé – NOBU au Cap en Afrique du Sud. De retour en France en 2011, Delphine travaille au développement des projets du Collectif COAX, Compagnie label national.
En 2016, elle fonde l’association GIGANTONIUM qui produit ses projets en leadeuse et co-leadeuse, ainsi que son label qui compte aujourd’hui une trentaine de références.
Raised in a family of musicians, Delphine Joussein began playing flute at the age of 9. In 2002, she obtained a DFE in flute with the congratulations of the jury. Strongly influenced by the extended family of Jazz and Rock, she developed a sound where voice and electronics are omnipresent. In 2021 she won JAZZMIGRATION#7 tour with her trio NOUT. In 2022, she was finalist with NOUT of the National Jazz Competition of La Défense Paris, from which she won the Instrumentalist Prize. In 2023, she won the ZENITH AWARD with NOUT, a collaboration between 12 points and Europe Jazz Network. Since its creation in 2021, NOUT has performed more than 90 concerts in France and internationally, and released 2 albums.

In 2025 she joined SAUVAGES PARADIS with Edward Perrault, Eve Risser and Arthur Delaleu, as well as the sextet d’HÉLÈNE DURET with Quentin Biardeau, Léa Ciechelski, Jessica Simon, Ariel Tessier. Delphine occasionally collaborates with European musicians such as Lukas Kranzelbinder, Julian Sartorius, Johannes Schleiermacher (in KABARILA quartet), Kalle Kalima, Red Desert Orchestra of Eve Risser, and participates in occasional creations during the Jazz Südtirol festivals in Bolzano in Italy and Saalfelden Jazz Festival in Austria. Delphine plays in ASYNCHRONE “tribute to Sakamoto” (Clément Petit, Frederic Soulard, Vincent Taeger, Emmanuel Peskine) whose first album was released on NoFormat in 2022, distributed by DuNose Production. She plays and creates music with the Clown Joël Bluteau in his creation around pataphysics. Delphine also practices Brazilian music and particularly Choro in various forms.
Her practice of jazz piano led her to meet Tim Richards in London, with whom she followed a year of master classes.
Delphine used to teach flute and led an adult orchestra workshop between 2018 and 2023 at the Music Center of the 10th arrondissement of Paris. In the 2000s, passionated about sommelier, she took a sommelier diploma at WSET school and worked in this profession in London, as well as in hotel management, then launched the opening of the Michelin-starred chef’s restaurant – NOBU in Cape Town, South Africa. Back in France in 2011, Delphine worked on the development of projects for the COAX Collective, National Label Company. In 2016, she founded the GIGANTONIUM association which produces her bands, as well as Gigantonium label which now has around thirty references.
